Technical Specifications
The accessibility of the West Valley Church website relies on the following technologies:
- HTML

- WAI-ARIA
Third-Party Content and Known Limitations
Our website includes third-party platforms and embeds that are outside of our direct control. While we strive to ensure accessibility wherever possible, the following components may present known limitations:
- YouTube Video Player: Some embedded YouTube videos may include generic or non-descriptive iframe titles, incorrect ARIA usage, or insufficient color contrast. These issues originate from YouTube’s video player and cannot be modified by our team. We aim to provide descriptive titles and captions wherever possible.
- Google Maps Embed: Our location and directions page includes a Google Maps iframe. Google Maps has known accessibility limitations, including keyboard navigation challenges and screen reader inconsistencies, which we are unable to fix due to third-party restrictions.
- Weglot Language Switcher: Our website is available in both English and Spanish through a third-party translation integration provided by Weglot. We implemented this integration with accessibility in mind, however the language switcher and certain translation features rely on external code that is not fully under our control. As a result, some aspects of this functionality may present accessibility limitations inherent to the vendor’s solution. If you experience any difficulty using the language switcher or accessing translated content, please contact us so we can provide support and address the issue promptly.
- Other Third-Party Integrations: Any additional externally hosted content—such as embedded media, calendars, or forms—may not fully conform to WCAG standards. When issues arise, we will gladly help provide alternative ways to access the same information.
